5 PLACES TO VISIT THIS SUMMER

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, if you are new please follow and ask for a follow back and also leave a comment. Today’s post is all about fun places to visit this summer, just in case you are in dilemma of where to go to for vacation. So here we go.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

 Croatia’s jewel, Dubrovnik is absolutely magical! Its Old Town is truly stunning and an absolute must-see – it’s easy to spend a couple of days exploring, walking the city walls, and visiting all the sights in and around it. Dubrovnik does tend to get very crowded during the summer months – especially as it receives so many cruise ship passengers – so a city break trip outside the busiest of months is ideal. Alternatively, putting up with the crowds may well be worth it to see Dubrovnik! There’s also plenty of opportunity for day trips to nearby islands – such as small island of Lokrum (which is very close), the Elafiti islands or Mljet, and other nearby resorts such as Cavtat.
 

 Athens Greece

Inhabited for more than 3,000 years, Athens is widely known as the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy. The city presents a confusing blend of historical and modern features. Athens is famous for its archaeological ruins and monuments such as the famous Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Ancient Agora and the Theatre of Dionysus just to name a few. However, Athens is not just about ancient ruins. This bustling city is also an important center for business, culture and nightlife.

 

Sochi, Russia

Sochi on the Black Sea is a great winter sports destination and, in fact, hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics. Skis aside, Sochi also hosts the Russian Formula 1 Grand prix and was the host of the just concluded 2018 Fifa World Cup. Despite winter snow, Sochi offers a subtropical climate and great beaches, making it a key part of the Russian Riviera. The resort city makes a great summer (and winter) getaway for Russians. Strolling along the pedestrian-only sea embankment is a pleasant experience. Environmentally conscious travelers may want to visit the Caucasus Biosphere Reserve. Sochi also is home to the area’s northern most tea plantations.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The second largest and the most popular city in Brazil offers variety of activities. It also has the worldwide famous beaches like Ipanema, Barra da Tijuca, Copacabana, and Leblon. Rio’s resorts are the main tourist attraction.

The city is also known for the samba festival, held before Lent for almost 200 years. The samba dancers prepare the most exciting and passionate numbers, with colorful outfits. They fill the atmosphere with the wildest energy.

Venice, Italy

One of the best places to visit in Italy, Venice is a unique city that is built upon a lagoon surrounded by the Adriatic Sea. Located in northeastern Italy, Venice is an archipelago of 118 islands all connected by hundreds of beautiful bridges and scenic canals. Of the canals, the Grand Canal is most famous and divides the city into two sections. Picturesque waterways and historic architecture make Venice one of the most romantic cities in the world. Venice is often crowded but well worth visiting to see its magnificent landmarks like Saint Mark’s Square and Basilica, Doge’s Palace and Rialto Bridge. One of the most popular things to do is to take a gondola ride along one of its many canals.
